Plain-language summary
Your projects stay local. Sineward stores editable sessions and imported audio in your browser. Creating an optional account does not upload those projects or audio.
Accounts and billing are limited. Clerk handles sign-in and Stripe handles payment information, receipts, invoices, and subscription management. Scalar Shift stores identifiers and subscription status needed to provide Pro access.
Rendering happens locally. Playback and MP3 generation run on your device. Sineward does not upload your project or imported audio to Scalar Shift LLC.
Information we handle
Information stored on your device
Sineward uses browser storage, including local storage, a short-lived first-party cookie, and IndexedDB, to preserve session settings, automation, layer configuration, uploaded audio, and the number of free MP3 exports made on that device for the current day. This information remains under your browser profile unless you export it, clear site data, or use browser features that synchronize data.
Account and billing information
If you create an account, Clerk processes your account identifier, email address, authentication information, and session data. If you subscribe, Stripe processes your contact, payment, transaction, receipt, invoice, and subscription information. Scalar Shift stores your Clerk user identifier, email address, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, renewal date, and cancellation status. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
Information processed when you visit
Our hosting, content-delivery, authentication, payment, and security providers may process technical request data needed to deliver and protect the service. This can include IP address, approximate region derived from IP, browser and device information, requested URLs, response status, referral information, and timestamps. We do not currently add third-party analytics, ad pixels, or behavioral advertising scripts.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive the information in your message, your email address, and any files or context you choose to provide. Please do not send sensitive health information or confidential audio through ordinary email.
How information is used
We use information only as reasonably necessary to authenticate accounts, provide and enforce Free and Pro features, process and document payments, manage subscriptions, operate and secure Sineward, respond to messages, investigate errors or abuse, meet legal obligations, and protect the rights and safety of users, Scalar Shift LLC, and others.
We do not use your locally stored projects or imported audio to train artificial-intelligence models.
Storage and retention
Local project data remains in your browser until you remove it. The daily export counter resets each local calendar day and its fallback cookie expires after two days. You can delete local information by clearing Sineward’s site data in browser settings.
Account information remains while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Subscription, invoice, transaction, and tax records may be retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Infrastructure logs and correspondence are retained only as reasonably necessary for their operational or business purpose.
Your choices and rights
You can control local data through Sineward and your browser, decline to contact us, and avoid external links. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information that Scalar Shift LLC controls, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
To make a privacy request, use the contact address below and describe your request and jurisdiction. We may need to verify the request. Because most Sineward project data never reaches us, we generally cannot retrieve or delete data stored only in your browser.
Browser “Do Not Track” signals are not consistently standardized. Sineward does not currently engage in the tracking those signals are generally intended to address.
Children
Sineward is a general-audience sound tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission, email system, browser storage, or security control is completely secure. Keep backups of important project exports and protect access to your device.
Our service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, or other countries where they operate. Those locations may have different privacy laws than your home jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Sineward’s features, providers, hosting, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. We will update this notice before introducing materially different practices such as analytics, advertising, or cloud project storage.
