Plain-language summary
Your projects stay local. Sineward stores editable sessions and imported audio in your browser. Creating an optional account does not upload those projects or audio.
We measure site use. Google helps us measure visits, feature use, advertising results, and Pro purchases. We do not send Google your project audio, sound settings, email address, or payment-card information.
Accounts and billing are limited. Clerk handles sign-in and Stripe handles payment information, receipts, invoices, and subscription management. Scalar Shift stores identifiers and subscription status needed to provide Pro access, and your liked tracks and playlists when you save a listening library.
Rendering happens locally. Playback and MP3 generation run on your device. Sineward does not upload your project or imported audio to Scalar Shift LLC.
Information we handle
Information stored on your device
Sineward uses browser storage, including local storage, a short-lived first-party cookie, and IndexedDB, to preserve session settings, automation, layer configuration, uploaded audio, and the number of free MP3 exports made on that device for the current day. This information remains under your browser profile unless you export it, clear site data, or use browser features that synchronize data.
Account and billing information
If you create an account, Clerk processes your account identifier, email address, authentication information, and session data. If you subscribe, Stripe processes your contact, payment, transaction, receipt, invoice, and subscription information. Scalar Shift stores your Clerk user identifier, email address, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, subscription status, renewal date, and cancellation status. We do not receive or store your full payment-card number.
Your listening library
When you like tracks or create playlists, we store their track identifiers, playlist names, and your account identifier on our servers so your library is available across devices. You can remove likes, remove tracks from playlists, or delete playlists in Listen. Playlist names are not sent to Google Analytics.
Information processed when you visit
Our hosting, content-delivery, authentication, payment, analytics, and security providers may process technical request data needed to deliver, understand, and protect the service. This can include IP address, approximate region derived from IP, browser and device information, requested URLs, response status, referral and campaign information, and timestamps.
Information you send us
If you email us, we receive the information in your message, your email address, and any files or context you choose to provide. Please do not send sensitive health information or confidential audio through ordinary email.
Analytics, cookies, and conversion measurement
Sineward loads Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion measurement when you visit. These services help us understand which pages are visited, whether features such as MP3 export and checkout are used, which campaigns referred a visit, and whether a Pro purchase was completed. Measurement may use cookies or similar browser identifiers and may process page URL, referral and campaign parameters, browser and device details, approximate location, interaction events, checkout value, currency, and a Stripe Checkout session identifier used as the transaction identifier.
We configure Google measurement without Google Signals or ad-personalization signals. We use it to evaluate Sineward and our own campaigns, not to build health profiles or send project contents to Google. Sineward does not send Google imported audio, generated audio, automation values, sound settings, Clerk user identifiers, email addresses, full names, or payment-card details.
You can limit or remove analytics cookies using your browser's privacy controls, cookie settings, or site-data controls. Google processes measurement information under its own terms and privacy policy.
How information is used
We use information only as reasonably necessary to authenticate accounts, provide and enforce Free and Pro features, process and document payments, manage subscriptions, measure site and campaign performance when permitted, improve the service, operate and secure Sineward, respond to messages, investigate errors or abuse, meet legal obligations, and protect the rights and safety of users, Scalar Shift LLC, and others.
We do not use your locally stored projects or imported audio to train artificial-intelligence models.
Storage and retention
Local project data remains in your browser until you remove it. The daily export counter resets each local calendar day and its fallback cookie expires after two days. You can delete local information through Sineward’s controls or by clearing site data in browser settings.
Google Analytics event and user-level data is retained according to the settings in our Google Analytics property and may be aggregated into longer-lived reports. Account information remains while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. Subscription, invoice, transaction, and tax records may be retained as required for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Infrastructure logs and correspondence are retained only as reasonably necessary for their operational or business purpose.
Your choices and rights
You can control local and analytics data through your browser's cookie, privacy, and site-data settings. You can also decline to contact us and avoid external links. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information that Scalar Shift LLC controls, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
To make a privacy request, use the contact address below and describe your request and jurisdiction. We may need to verify the request. Because most Sineward project data never reaches us, we generally cannot retrieve or delete data stored only in your browser.
Browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals are not implemented consistently across all analytics services.
Children
Sineward is a general-audience sound tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No internet transmission, email system, browser storage, or security control is completely secure. Keep backups of important project exports and protect access to your device.
Our service providers may process information in the United States, Canada, or other countries where they operate. Those locations may have different privacy laws than your home jurisdiction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Sineward’s features, providers, hosting, measurement, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. We will update this notice before introducing materially different practices such as personalized advertising or cloud project storage.
